Sunday as my day off. Every week (ideally). On those days, I can do whatever the hell I want and not feel guilty about it. This includes watching television.

Every other day of the week, however=positive work-related/love-related things. Meaning: no television. lots of books. lots of practicing. lots of writing. a pretty normal amount of sleeping. probably a lot of internet time, but i’ll work on it. also, a good amount of gym time.

Dear self: suck it up and just do it.

File under: working for yourself is hard, but you’re not complaining, because it’s also awesome.

jesus. i’m young, i’m still young….but i’ve started kind of freaking out lately. about getting older. and i know i need to chill out and embrace whatever wisdom comes with age, but efffffffffff. i want to go back and be 12 and be more original than i was. i was so scared of everything when i was young. wtf was my problem?

i’m really grateful for becoming a finalist in this Cayamo/Sixthman contest - I feel really lucky to have been acknowledged. It’s been really encouraging, and I need to remember that someone out there listened to something I did and recognized it as being Good.

But I would really, really like to win. I’m trying to envision myself winning, and feel the moment as if it’s already happened.

I’m also really grateful for the awesome messages I’ve gotten from people I don’t even know. Or people I haven’t heard from in years. About how they’ve checked out my work, and they like it, too.
